Mr. Sticky’s announces opening date for Cumberland County store – PennLive

Mr. Sticky's is opening its first location in the Harrisburg region. It is located at the Hampden Centre where Karns Foods operates.
The countdown is on for Mr. Sticky’s arrival in the Harrisburg area.
On March 3, one of the sticky bun shops will open at 4830 Carlisle Pike in Hampden Township in the Hampden Centre next to Mellow Mink Brewing.
Philip Stuck, a longtime Mr. Sticky’s customer, is responsible for bringing the brand to the Harrisburg region. He saw the potential in the gooey, addictive sticky buns.
“I’d been buying them for a pretty long time and I’ve been saying to my older brother I can’t understand why there isn’t a location in the Harrisburg area,” Stuck told PennLive last year.
Mr. Sticky’s is a family-owned business started by Phil Poorman, his wife and four children. Poorman first served the made-from-scratch sticky buns on a breakfast buffet at the Grange Fair and Encampment in Centre County.
The buns grew into a concession fixture at fairs as well as Mr. Sticky’s brick and mortar locations in Williamsport and Lancaster. Today, Mr. Sticky’s offers franchise opportunities with shops in Pottstown and Greenville, North Carolina and more in the pipeline.
Mr. Sticky’s sells regular and walnut buns as well as a cinnamon bun loaded with Mr. Sticky’s own cream cheese icing or peanut butter icing. The business has recently expanded with signature flavored coffees.
Starting at 6 a.m. on opening day, Mr. Sticky’s will serve free treats while supplies last.
The Hampden Township shop will operate 6 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Saturday and close on Sundays.
