Semper Esports keeps building up its roster of talent
Card Factory (LSE:CARD) PLC said it has appointed Matthias Seeger as its chief financial officer following “an extensive search process”.
Seeger is joining the greeting cards retailer on 22 May this year and will succeed Kris Lee, who will be leaving the company on 31 January.
Card Factory’s current group financial controller, Simon Comer, has been appointed as interim CFO until Seeger joins.
Seeger has been CFO of Ambassador Cruise Line since February 2022, having previously served as CFO of Costcutter Supermarkets Group from September 2015 to September 2021.
Commenting on Seeger’s appointment in a statement, Card Factory chief executive officer Darcy Willson-Rymer said: “Matthias has extensive financial experience and I look forward to working with him again, confident that his expertise and values will support Card Factory’s strategic projects and significant change programme over the next few years.”
Earlier this week, Card Factory announced that it had raised its profit guidance following strong trading over the festive period.
